Jan McKeachie Johnston studied at The University of Minnesota, Southern Illinois University, and The University of Wisconsin at River Falls where she earned a BFA with a major in Ceramics. Since 1979 Jan has been very active in teaching ceramic workshops and working in her Wisconsin Studio. She has recently had the opportunity to teach at UWRF as an adjunct professor in ceramics. For the past 30 years she has participated in important exhibitions throughout the United States. Northern Clay Center, TRAX Gallery, Schaller Gallery, and Grand Hand Gallery represent her work on an ongoing basis. Her work has been fea-tured in Clay Times and Ceramics Monthly, Jan McKeachie Johnston’s work is represented in many private and public collections including the Chrysler Museum, Norfolk Virginia; Weisman Art Museum at the Univer-sity Of Minnesota; the Minneapolis Institute of Art; The Fuller Craft Mu-seum, Brockton, MA; and The Tweed Museumof Art, Duluth Minnesota.
