Gregory Hamilton Miller (b. 1969) uses salt, soda, and wood to fire his work with native and custom clays. He is also deeply interested in primary clay slips and ash glazes, and the layered interactive effect and depth they bring to finished work. Miller apprenticed in Mashiko, Japan, and has lectured, taught, and exhibited widely internationally. He is also the organizer of the annual international ceramic symposium, ScanCeram, and a broad range of ceramic residency and exchange programs.
